A quick update….

So remember that time we said we’re taking six months off to go travelling all around the US and we said that you could follow us on Fiddy States for up to date information about our trip, and we haven’t updated with a new post since we left, counting 4 weeks now… well, here is why (oh, and sorry about that!)

We left Aussieland on the 27th March and flew to KL, via Singapore.

We stayed the weekend in KL and watched the Formula 1 with our dear friends Ryan & Lucy.

We then flew to Hong Kong, where my dad lives, to spend a couple of nights with him. Whilst we were there we went all tourist and visited heaps of awesome places, there is a post coming for that I PROMISE!!

From Hong Kong, we flew to Tokyo where we had a 10 hour layover. Again, we made the most of this and saw as much as we possibly could. Yea, yea, I’ll do a post on that too.

We then flew from Tokyo to San Francisco. We loved San Fran! We hired a car, only took us 7 minutes before we were driving on the wrong side of the road (whooops!). We saw the Golden Gate bridge, at awesome food at the StrEAT food markets and visited some friends there. We loved it.

From San Fran, we flew to Nashville, Tennessee. Drikus’ sister, Louise, lives there. She picked us up from the airport and graciously let us stay in her apartment with her.

In Nashville, we spent 3 weeks, working incredibly hard, to fix up the RV. We were only meant to spend 2 weeks doing this. But as planned, things didn’t go to plan! We are loving the RV now though, so all our hard work has paid off!

From Nashville, we drove through the night to Gainesville, Florida. Spent 2 nights sleeping in the RV at our friends’ carpark. The weather in Florida is amazing, if you like hot humid weather like I do 🙂

Our cruise to the Bahamas left on Monday. We drove from Gainesville to Miami on Monday. Again, things took a bit longer than expected. We got there late. We weren’t allowed to board the ship. Megan and Drikus were very devastated. A blog post about how we did end up on the boat will come soon, I promise.

Alas, we boarded the cruise on Tuesday, and had the most amazing time ever! We’ve never cruised before, we can’t wait to do it again in September when we cruise around Hawaii.

We are now in Key West, camping in our RV at a State Camp called Curry Hammond. We are at lot 23 and it’s right by the beach, although there is no beach access. The weather today is a bit windy with a change of Thunderstorms.

I will be making a cheesecake this afternoon and can’t wait to bake in our newly rennovated a kitchen.

So as you can see, we have been busy busy busy bees! I hope this short and sweet quick update has been informative. And I look forward to providing you with some more details about our travels!!
